An adventure playground at lofty heights Here you can climb, shimmy and balance between heaven and earth. At a height of one to eleven meters, you can conquer courses with different elements, ranging in difficulty from easy to difficult. You don't need to be particularly well-trained, brave or experienced. The focus is on having fun, which is great fun for beginners, children, adventurers and daredevils.

Take the lift up and ride down The Bikepark Winterberg is the largest and most versatile bike park in Germany. Here you will find everything you need for mountain biking, improving your riding technique or simply having fun. Take the lift up with your bike and ride down on nine kilometers of professionally designed downhill trails. This is where the European mountain bike scene meets. But even less experienced riders can get started in the Bikepark Winterberg. Learn the riding technique in a course with experienced guides. You can hire bikes and protectors at the bike station.

In the footsteps of the bobsleigh stars The Winterberg Hochsauerland bobsleigh track is one of the fastest and most modern in the world. The world's best bobsleighers, lugers and skeletonists compete in exciting races here winter after winter. The ice track is the home track of former European champion René Spies and world champion Sandra Kiriasis. Thousands of spectators come here year after year to experience the skating stars live and up close.

Kartfun / Neuastenberg Event Center

The event center, directly connected to the hotel, offers guests all kinds of activities: indoor karting, indoor soccer, tennis, badminton, volleyball and a climbing wall.

Racing over the asphalt like Vettel - haven't you ever dreamed of it? The combination of sharp bends and long straights offers you pure thrills and unlimited driving fun on the 550 m long track in the 5,000 m² heated and air-conditioned hall! You can drive up to 20 laps in 10 minutes and become the protagonist of your very own Formula 1 race! Under this motto, we would like to take you into the world of karts for a while. Here you have the unique opportunity to put your skills to the test. Experience a kart race including warm-up and qualifying like the pros, followed by an award ceremony.

Indoor soccer is the trend: kick a ball 365 days a year regardless of the weather - fast, dynamic and full of goals! Plenty of action and fun awaits you on our FIFA-quality artificial turf. Laid on a 10 mm thick, elastic sub-base, the modern artificial turf granule system is particularly gentle on joints, Achilles tendons and backs. Even world and European champions value this surface as a playing and training surface. Our multifunctional soccer court with the official playing field size of 30 x 15 meters is played "5 against 5", by children and hobby teams also "6 against 6". As a rule, sneakers or multi-socks are used. Studded shoes are not permitted.

Ski area Postwiese Neuastenberg

Our Dorint Hotel & Sportresort Winterberg is located in the middle of the Postwiesen ski village of Neuastenberg. 16 runs open up a ski area of extraordinary variety on the south side of the Kahler Asten. The spectrum ranges from black pistes and learning pistes to the wonderful 1,000 m long east slope, one of the most beautiful runs in the entire Sauerland winter sports arena. Despite its great tradition, the area is still the insider tip with a "frequent skier guarantee", which includes short waiting times at the lifts and plenty of space for skiing. Other highlights include the professional fun park for snowboarders and free skiers, the natural toboggan run with steep curves and the extended escape light offer of now 4.5 km of runs - just a few minutes from the parking lot and our Hoten.

Curves, bridges, jumps - everything is possible. 700 meters down the mountain at breakneck speed. Even just watching from the terrace or the spectator bridge is fun! Everyone determines their own speed. It's very simple. Lever forward: accelerate, lever back: brake! A lift pulls young and old visitors back up the mountain in the sledge. The excitement builds - and off you go on another ride!

Guided mountain bike tour

We are happy to organize a guided mountain bike tour lasting 2 - 3 hours including 1 bottle of apple juice spritzer, helmet and bike as well as professionally trained guides for you. The tour takes you through the varied terrain of the beautiful Hochsauerland. 1700 km of designated routes for beginners, families and advanced riders. The tour is individually tailored to the participants.

Helmets are compulsory.

Guided e-bike tour

The e-bike tour is put together individually by the e-bike coaches according to the wishes and requirements of the participants. An easy tour with approx. 20 - 25 km and a duration of 2.5 - 3 hours costs € 50.00 gross per person including guide and e-bike rental fee. Bookable from 3 persons.

Helmets are compulsory.

Adventure tour /GPS expedition

A team on a modern treasure hunt through Winterberg and its villages! With map and compass or GPS, you go on a discovery tour. Not only do hidden clues have to be put together like a puzzle, but team tasks also have to be mastered along the way. Duration of this event approx. 2.5 hours. Groups of 5-6 people.

Enjoy the romance of the Sauerland

On a guided hike, on request also with a Rothaarsteigranger, covered wagon or sleigh ride in winter, we will take you into the forests of the Sauerland. You can expect to pay around €7.00 per person for the hike and around €12.50 for the covered wagon and sleigh ride. The hike to the Kahler Asten mountain and back takes about 2 hours. The covered wagon or sleigh ride starts in Winterberg at the horse-drawn carriage stop. The covered wagon ride takes approx. 1.5 hours. A sleigh ride takes about 30 minutes. It goes through the Winterberg countryside and partly through the old town of Winterberg.

Taxibob - ever ridden a bobsled?

Guest bobsleighing in Winterberg - a very special experience!

Treat yourself to an extraordinary thrill: race through the ice track in Winterberg in the Hochsauerland region at speeds of up to 130 km/h. An experienced bobsleigh pilot and three guests form a team with whom you will race through one of the fastest and most modern artificial ice tracks in the world. Enjoy the ride with the "Formula One of winter sports" through the 1600 m long bobsleigh tube and experience the 60-second thrill in an original four-man bobsleigh!

Bobsleigh run tours

Visit the bobsleigh run in Winterberg, venue of the World Championships 2015. Guided tours alone or combined with various other program items such as chairlift ride and / or panorama experience bridge can be booked from 10 people, from 2 hours, for € 9.00 gross per person!

"Shooting king"

In grandfather's footsteps

...trudging through the romantic, snow-covered winter landscape. With snowshoes that look like slightly oversized tennis rackets. What used to be woven from hazelnut or willow wood or strung with leather straps is now made from aluminum and lightweight materials. Young and old alike can enjoy the tranquil winter landscape to the full on this hike through the beautiful countryside. The tour lasts approx. 3 hours and is accompanied by a guide, bookable for 5 - 20 people.

These courses are tax-incentivized for companies as part of company health management. In addition, participants can apply for pro-rata reimbursement from health insurance companies for certified courses.

The personal trainer charges €50.00 for one-off sports courses lasting 60 minutes. The price is independent of the number of participants and there are no travel costs due to the close proximity. These courses can be held in our Dorint Hotel & Sportresort Winterberg indoors and outdoors. There may be additional costs for renting a room or the sports hall.
