The Segway is THE new means of transport for inner cities. This is a kind of single-axle motorized scooter, which keeps itself in balance and can be controlled by shifting the body weight.

With the Segway we can offer you different tours for groups of up to eight participants through Hamburg city center. Of course, we will also be happy to develop an individual route for you with large groups. For example, you can drive with your guests from the hotel to the restaurant or take a refreshing Segway ride through the park instead of the classic coffee break. An event for up to 200 people can be realized as part of a team building.

Tradition on the water

Typical Hamburg sailors take you on an exciting cruise. As the only watercraft in the harbor, the barges can also sail through the narrow and flat fleet and under the numerous bridges in the Speicherstadt. During the one to two hour tours you will learn a lot of new things and the so-called "harbour explorers" will entertain you in their inimitable Hamburger Schnack with anecdotes and sailor's yarn.

You will pass the Großer Grasbrook and the Elbphilharmonie in HafenCity, the Sandtorhafen, the former heart of the harbor and today's traditional ship harbour, the Blohm+Voss shipyard, the Kleiner Grasbrook, where there is a RoRo loading dock in the Hanseatic port (roll on, roll off - the loads are transported directly to the ships), and the impressive container terminal in Köhlbrand.

The harbour tours can also be customized thematically. There are special and extra-long excursions on historical and current topics such as the history of the port in the light of colonial politics or Nazi times, today's trade relations with the Third World or the environmental problems of the Elbe deepening.

The well-restored traditional barges have made the harbour tours one of the most popular tourist attractions of the Hanseatic city.

Rickmer Rickmers

Maritime ambience for your event

Experience a maritime adventure in the Port of Hamburg! 

The three-masted, steel freighter "Rickmer Rickmers" was launched in 1896 at the shipyard of the Bremerhaven shipping company Rickmer C. Rickmers.

In 1912 she was purchased by the Hamburg shipping company Carl C. D. Krabbenhöft, until she was seized by the Portuguese Navy in 1916 and served as a Portuguese naval training ship until 1962.

After extensive renovation work, it has been located at the Landungsbrücken since 1983 and is considered one of the most spectacular museums in Hamburg and a great location for events. In the hull of the Rickmer Rickmers there are two other rooms for events next to the restaurant. Whether for 25 or 250 people, every event is possible, because the three different sized rooms either form separate units with separate entrances or they can be used in conjunction.

Here at the Rickmer Rickmers you can offer your guests a true Hamburg experience in maritime ambience at a "captain's dinner" or a pirate party.

The Elbarkaden Harbour City

Gala evenings and conferences on the Elbe

Located in the immediate vicinity of the International Maritime Museum directly on the Fleet "Magdeburger Hafen" in HafenCity, the Elbarkaden with a size of 360 m² and an adjoining terrace with an additional 180 m² - an ideal location for gala evenings and conferences.

Whether conferences or product presentations - events for up to 200 people are no problem here. Even evening events in various forms can be implemented wonderfully. For example, are you planning a cabaret evening in the style of the 1920s or would you like to organize a casino night? You are welcome, there are no limits to your fantasies!

Cap San Diego

Celebrating in the belly of a ship

The "Cap San Diego" has been a museum ship in Hamburg since 1986. The freighter was the last of six identical "Cap San" vessels of the Hamburg Süd shipping company to be delivered in 1962. With a length of almost 160 metres and a width of more than 20 metres, it is one of the largest still navigable civilian museum ships in the world.

Events for 15 to 500 people can be held in the different rooms. The bar and salon, for example, are ideal for gentlemen's evenings and "Smokers' Lounges". The loading hatch 3 can also be seated for 150 to 500 people.

Organizing an event in the belly of a ship is a unique experience for everyone, Hamburgers or not.

The storage city

A UNESCO World Heritage Site for your event

Hamburg is known as the "gateway to the world". The Hanseatic city developed this status as early as the 19th century with the construction of the free harbour.

Here, despite Hamburg's accession to the Reich Customs Territory, goods were still allowed to be stored and processed duty-free.

Between 1885 and 1912 the present-day Speicherstadt was built on the Kehrwiederinsel - a complex of 7- to 8-storey brick buildings with a 1.5 km front.

Since 2015, the Speicherstadt has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Particularly impressive is the view of the Fleete and the surrounding office buildings. You get an insight into how goods from Asia or the Far East were stored here. Even today, 40% of the area is actually used for goods storage!
