Bad Lauchstädt has become known for its historical-royal spas as a luxury and fashion spa and the Goethetheater. Already in the 18th century, the luxury and fashion spa attracted the nobility as well as the up-and-coming bourgeoisie to its tasteful spa facilities, created by the Merseburg monastery master Johann Wilhelm Chryselius. However, the real fame came only through the theatre, which was built in 1802 under the plans of Johann Wolfgang von Goethe.

The world's largest Beatles Museum, a must for every fan. The documentary includes rarities, curiosities and familiarities from the Beatles years (up to 1970) and from the time of their solo careers (from 1970 to the present), many signed by the Beatles and people around them – some especially for the Beatles Museum. The competently compiled musical career in words, pictures and sound awakens memories; and young people get a comprehensive insight into the 60s and the subsequent period, in which the musicians made their careers individually - until today. Thematic and time-appropriate film contributions are shown, and there are listening stations in almost all exhibition rooms.

Halloren Chocolate Museum

The history of the company dates back to 1804. At that time, F.A. Miethe founded the first German chocolate factory in Halle an der Saale. The production of praline and chocolate specialities has been cultivated and refined continuously over generations. The ORIGINAL HALLOREN BALLS are well known and very popular far beyond Halles borders. The Halloren show production offers the opportunity to get to know the history and tradition of the Halloren chocolate factory from the past to the present day, to look over the shoulders of the confectioner and, of course, to enjoy it, because a variety of delicacies can be tasted in the factory sales. A very special highlight is a living room, almost entirely made of chocolate and sweet utensils, such as vases, plates and cups. The furniture and the walls are also, as far as the statics allow, made of chocolate.

... that Halle (Saale) is the birthplace of the world-famous composer Georg Friedrich Handel? 

Only a few minutes away from the market square is the Handel House, the birthplace of Georg Friedrich Handel (1685-1759), arguably the most famous son of the Saalestadt. Handel was born in this house and lived there until he was 19. In 1937, the city of Halle (Saale) established a museum there. Frequently visited by music lovers and tourists from all over the world, the Handel exhibition includes pictorial representations, valuable musical instruments and documents from Handel's time. These draw a sculptural picture of the composer's personality and his epoch.

In the Halloren Pralineum, our in-house praline factory, you will be spoiled with confectionery art par excellence: finest truffle pralines, delicious created chocolate as well as individual chocolate specialties. Discover and enjoy the variety: classic or exotic, sweet or spicy, fruity or spicy – the chocolate delicacies are made fresh by hand every day.

Under the guidance of our experienced chocolatiers, you will compose your personal "symphony" from the finest chocolate and high-quality ingredients. You will gain insights into different techniques for the production of fine chocolates and truffles, learn how to temperature chocolate correctly and how to handle sensitive raw materials from the confectionery world.

You can independently produce different canache and marzipan fillings and can decorate your "companions" to your heart's content. Enjoy the individual attention and be inspired by the friendly ambience of our rooms with professional equipment.

Of course, you can also take the chocolates home and eat at home together with your loved ones. Arrange your individual chocolate box or choose from lovingly put together gift ideas. The 3-hour seminar takes place on fixed dates.

Rosarium Sangerhausen

The largest collection of roses in the world was founded in 1903. It is home to more than 8300 varieties and species of roses. The diversity of the Queen of Flowers, from antiquity to modernity, is presented in a 13-hectare rose garden of a special kind.

A unique, orderly collection, compiled by experts over 100 years, gives scientists, breeders and rose lovers an insight into the evolutionary history of the rose.

In addition to the unique collection of garden and wild roses, the Europa-Rosarium houses a large number of rare trees and shrubs. About 300 different species of trees and shrubs form a wonderful backdrop for our roses.

Drive with a real tank by yourself.

Heavy chains rattle over the hilly ground, the diesel spits black clouds of smoke and makes tons of steel tremble. In the Landsberger Offroad Kessel you drive boldly over the dunes with the tank yourself, climb the next hill with the monster and plunge down the slope.

In the Landsberger Offroad Kessel you can prove that you are a real tank driver! You can choose from the manoeuvrable BMP SP 1 tank, the heavy-duty T 55 T mountain tank, the mighty Tatra 813 8 x 8 KOLOS and the manoeuvrable Robur LO 3000 4 x4.

After an introduction by our experienced instructors, you will take the wheel yourself and drive the tank into our challenging terrain. Each of the tanks also has space for a certain number of passengers to witness your spectacular ride.

The total time tanks drive themselves incl. Briefing and introductory round lasts 45 minutes. Self-driving requires a minimum age of 18 years and a class B driving licence. No further knowledge is required.
